This post is dear and near to my heart. It is MY ANNIVERSARY PHOTOSHOOT !
I got married in 2010. At that time I went for more classic theme with my wedding: blushing pink,champagne in Langham Pasadena. It was beautiful and everything I wanted.
As a professional in the wedding industry, I got to see many many ( MANY!) beautiful weddings. The more I saw the more inspired I became. When my 5 years anniversary came around, I initially thought to just do a simple photo session for my little family. I mentioned this to my dear friend Nhu, the co-founder of Lumiani Events. She completely took this idea and elaborate my " simple photo session" into this dreamy vow renewal ceremony that is beyond my imagination.
I always love Garden and wilderness, since my wedding was hosted in a hotel, I definitely want to have my photo session in an outdoor setting. Our photography Closer to Love Photography was able to find this perfect location for us where we had the woods and lake. For our vow renewal ceremony, we are going for a " secret garden" theme. Dee from Deefined Floral Designs brought the Garden to us with her magical floral arrangement and a door builded from the ground! The draping was a completely surprise to us. When we arrived to the location, it really took my breath away. The cake with hand painted floral details by M Cakes Sweets , the floral arrangements and all rental pieces from Etablir Shop are pure art in my eyes. This may be bias but It is the MOST BEAUTIFUL thing I have never seen!
The favorite way Mike and I like to communicate with each other was writing. We used to write each other one letter a day( back in the days...XD). For the photo shoot, each of us pick one of the most meaningful letters and have Art by Sarah Ku transcribe them in calligraphy. During the photoshoot, we were able to read to each other and relived those sweet memories.
Needless today, I have to have my partner Manning by my side for my makeup and hair!
The best part of all, is that we get to share this special moment with our little Audrey :)
