questions and answers

Q: What kind of products do you use on your clients?

A: We customize our makeup routine for each of our clients, so it really depends on your skin texture, type and tone. Some brands we love include Lorac, Armani, Make Up For Ever, Shu Uemura, Laura Mercier, Kevyn Aucoin, Nars, Bobbi Brown and many more professional-grade products. Hairstyling products that we use are also from high-quality brands such as Schwarzkopf, Sebastian, Kenra, Living Proof, etc. We are always hunting for great products, and we only use tried-and-true products that are effective and safe.

Q: How do I secure your service and how early should I book?

A: An appointment/event service is booked when we receive the deposit (50% of the services booked). You can book as early or as late as you want, but we recommend doing it as soon as you make the decision so we can save the date & time for you. We suggest booking your Trial Session at least 5~6 months before your wedding, and book your wedding day services at least 3~4 months before the big day.

Q: When do I pay the full amount for my services ?

A: Full payment (or any remaining balance) is due two weeks prior to the appointment date.

Q: Do you travel to me for makeup and hair services?

A: Yes, we provide on-location service for wedding day and event (travel fee may apply). Please inquire for more information on our traveling policy and out-of-county or destination services.

Q:  Is there a minimum requirement of services for you to travel ?

A: We require at least a full Bridal Makeup and Hair to provide on-location service.

Q: Will you stay at my event for touch ups?

A: We do offer On-Location Touch Up service. It’s useful if you plan to change your makeup or hair throughout the event, or if you like to have someone be there to do touch ups for you during the event or photoshoot. Hourly rates apply. Please let us know when you make the inquiry so we can discuss options and rates.

Q: If I'm not booking touch-up services, how should I touch up my makeup and hair on my wedding day?

A: We want you to be worry-free throughout the day (and we know it will be a wonderful but emotional day for you). That's why we skillfully utilize long lasting, water resistant makeup products to ensure that your makeup will stand up to the elements for a good 12 hours.

We always educate our clients on how to take care of the hair and makeup so they last longer. Plus, when you book our Bridal Makeup & Hair services, we will provide you with a deluxe Touch Up Kit that you and your bridal can use. And yes, we will teach you how to use it!

Q:  Do I need to do a Trial? Is it really necessary?

A:  We highly recommend doing a Trial Makeup & Hair Session for your wedding. It’ll give us the opportunity to meet you in person and get to know you, so we can create the perfect hair and makeup look for you on the most important day of your life.

Q:  When should I do the trial?

A: We recommend to do the trial when you have your wedding gown picked out and have clear idea of desire makeup and hair look. We especially recommend the trial session the same day as the dress fitting so you can see the " completed look".

Q: What is included in the Bridal Trial?

A: The Trial Session takes about 4 hours.

Session includes quick consultation, skin and hair condition analysis, recommendations, and custom makeup with foundation, highlight & contour, eyebrow shaping, eye shape adjustment, eye makeup, false lashes, etc. and two hairstyles.

Q: What happens at the trial session?

A: We ask that you bring inspiration pictures to share with us. During the Trial Session, we will do a consultation on your skin and your hair & makeup. You will get to try on full Bridal Makeup and up to 2 hairstyles. We will spend the time to make little adjustments or try different things to ensure that you will be a beautiful, happy bride. We recommend bringing your veil and accessories to try on, and we suggest wearing a white tank or tube top that has a similar neckline to your wedding gown.

Q:  Can I use my trial as my engagement session?

A: Yes, it is a great opportunity for you to test the makeup and be photographed. Please note since the trial session is 4 hours long, please schedule the engagement session accordingly.

Q:  Can I book Trials or Engagement Sessions on weekends?

A:  Weekday is preferred since most events are scheduled on weekends. We, however, will always try our best to accommodate your request.

Q:  How should I schedule the trial/engagement session?

A:  You are welcome to email or call to set up your trial/ engagement session. We request to have credit card information in file before all appointments can be scheduled. Cancellation or reschedule has to be made via email at 48 hours before the the appointment time. If the appointment is cancelled, rescheduled or no-show within 48 hours the credit card will be charged 50% of the service fee.

Q: What do I need to do to prepare for the Trial Session/Engagement Session?

A: For all Hair & Makeup Appointments: 1. Gather pictures of makeup and hair looks that you like. 2. Come to the appointment with freshly cleansed and moisturized face and clean, dry hair. 3. Wear button-down shirts or bring a robe to wear so you won’t have a hard time changing into your dress after hair and makeup.

For Trial Session: Bring your veil, accessories and pictures of your wedding gown for reference.

Q: How long does it take to finish everyone on my wedding day?
